Environmental EducationHands-on learning, team-building challenges, community service, adventurous fun...Welcome to Environmental Education at YMCA Point Bonita! Bring your students to our residential site or let our naturalists come to your school - either way, we'll take your students outside of the classroom for hands-on learning in nature's laboratory. Whether visiting tide pools, studying insects at the pond, playing eco-games, or cleaning up the neighborhood park, students learn about and experience their connections to the natural world. By weaving a thread of choice and impact throughout our programs, we empower students to become active stewards of the environment within their own communities. All of our programs are based on California State Science Standards and tailored to meet the individual needs of participating teachers and students.
