Facilities
The YMCA Point Bonita has four meeting rooms, which accommodate from 25 to 150 people. Each room is equipped with tables and chairs, dry-erase and/or chalk boards, refrigerators, and filtered water dispensers (hot, cold, and room temperature). An overhead projector, slide projector, radio/CD player, TV/VCR, or chart pad can also be reserved. In good weather, groups are invited to use outdoor tables or our campfire amphitheater for break-out spaces. Overnight, we can accommodate up to 150 people in two dorm-style residences.  Rooms in the residences sleep from 4-12 people and are connected to common restrooms with hot showers and coin-operated washing machines and dryers. Two or more visiting groups may share YMCA facilities during a given stay, but each group will have its own room assignments and meeting rooms, and share only the Dining Hall, bathrooms and outdoor areas. return to top

Meals
Many visitors cite our delicious, healthy home-made meals as the highlight of their visits.  Like a good teacher or children's film-maker, our chefs know how to strike a chord that pleases both children and adults.  As part of our efforts to be an increasingly green facility, we strive to use local, organic ingredients whenever possible.  Our coffee is also organic!   Meals are buffet style with unlimited seconds. Milk, juices, coffee, and tea are available at all meals, along with hot chocolate at breakfast.
A typical day starts with plenty of fresh fuit, yogurt, hot & cold cereals, plus a hot entree like eggs and fresh county potatoes.  Lunches include delicious warm entrees like Thai chicken, vegetable curry, quesadillas, or vegatable fried rice.  Our gourmet sandwich bar is also available.  Every lunch includes our salad bar and seasonal homemade soups. At dinner our entrees include spaghetti and pesto pasta, grilled salmon, barbecue chicken, and taco bar with fresh guacamole.  Steamed or sauteed seasonal vegetables, freshly baked bread or rolls, a full salad bar with organic greens, and our highly praised home-made desserts are always part of the buffet.  We offer vegetarian options, and will accommodate special dietary needs (such as vegan). return to top
